On Tuesday the 11th of December, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 37 offenders at external borders and within the country.

24 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus, entered Latvia, who is on the police wanted list was detected. The man, born in 1992, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

10 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova and the Grebņeva Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Pāternieki, the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Ukraine and 6 - of Georgia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country, and 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Uzbekistan and 1 - of Moldova, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the citizen of Uzbekistan was not commenced, the citizen of Moldova was subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 3 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 7 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Lithuania, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Estonia and 1- of Uzbekistan.
