On Thursday the 13th of December, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 49 offenders at external borders and within the country.

26 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Belarus with forged documents was detected

At the Grebņeva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus, leaving Latvia by car, was detained for use of forged Belarusian Driving Licence. Criminal proceedings were initiated for use of forged documents.

2 citizens of Latvia, who are on the police wanted list, were detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Latvia, one entered from Dublin and another - from London, who are on the police wanted list were detected. The men, born in 1977 and 1993, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

9 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 8 citizens of Georgia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states, and 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into the country as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 4 foreigners

At the Terehova, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Uzbekistan, 1 - of Tajikistan and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 1 citizen of India, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Russia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 18 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Belarus, 5 - of Latvia, 2 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Russia, 2 - of Estonia, 1 - of Spain, 1 - of Serbia.
