On Saturday the 15th of December, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 35 offenders at external borders and within the country.

20 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

7 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of Belarus were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, and 1 citizen of Ukraine and 2 - of Georgia were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states, 1 citizen of Georgia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. While at the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid travel document. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 4 foreigners

At the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Uzbekistan, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Russia and 1 - of Tajikistan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. . Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Russia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

2 citizens of Latvia were refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Latvia, who were not in possession of valid travel document, were detected. The persons were refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 3 citizens of Estonia and 2 of Lithuania.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 10 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Serbia, 1 - of German and 1 - of Belarus.
