On Sunday the 16th of December, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 36 offenders at external borders and within the country.
15 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 citizen of Serbia with forged documents was detectedAt the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Serbia, leaving Latvia by car, was detained for use of forged Serbian Driving Licence. Criminal proceedings were initiated for use of forged documents.
2 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Grebņeva and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 1 citizen of Ukraine and 1 - of Serbia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreignersAt the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of Belarus, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 3 citizens of Lithuania, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of India.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 16 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Latvia, 4 - of Russia, 3 - of Belarus, 2 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Germany and 1 - of Ukraine.
