On Tuesday the 18th of December, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 38 offenders at external borders and within the country.

19 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Lithuania with forged documents was detected

At the Port of Ventspils 1 citizen of Lithuania, entered Latvia by ferry, was detained for use of forged Lithuanian Driving Licence. Criminal proceedings were initiated for use of forged documents.

5 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport and the Grebņeva Border Control Points 1 citizen of Turkmenistan was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; 1 citizen of Ukraine and 1 - of Georgia were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; 1 citizen of Georgia and 1 - of Brazil were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners have a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 7 foreigners

At the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Uzbekistan, 2 - of Azerbaijan and 3 - of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 9 persons - 5 citizens of Ukraine, 3 - of Estonia and 1 - of Latvia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 10 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Uzbekistan, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Belarus.
