On Friday the 19th of December, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 40 offenders at external borders and within the country.

17 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Kazakhstan with forged documents was detected

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Kazakhstan, leaving Latvia by car, was detained for use of forged Kazakhstan Driving Licence. Criminal proceedings were initiated for use of forged documents.

1 foreigner was refused entry into Latvia

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The person was returned to the exit country.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 1 foreigner

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.

2 citizens of Latvia were refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 minor Latvian citizen, who was not in possession of notarially certified agreement of at least one parent for his independent travelling outside Latvia, was detected, as well as 1 citizen of Latvia (woman), who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The persons were refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 11 persons - 4 citizen of Russia, 3 - of Estonia, 2 - of Belarus and 2 - of Ukraine.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 12 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Russia, 3 - of Latvia, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Belarus, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Bulgaria and 1 - of Poland.
