On Thursday the 20th of December, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 43 offenders at external borders and within the country.

18 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 non-citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the Zilupe Border Control Point 1 non-citizen of Latvia, entered from Russia, who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1973, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

3 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine and 1 - of Georgia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 5 foreigners

At the Terehova, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Kirgizstan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the citizen of Kirgizstan and 1 - of Russia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 9 persons - 3 citizens of Lithuania, 3 - of Russia, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Gabon and 1 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 16 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Latvia, 5 - of Belarus, 2 - of Poland, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Lithuania, 1- of Russia and 1 - of Kirgizstan.
