On Friday the 21st of December, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 32 offenders at external borders and within the country.
16 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Uzbekistan was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; and 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 4 foreignersAt the Terehova, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Azerbaijan, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of Uzbekistan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 3 citizens of Lithuania and 2 - of Russia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 11 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Lithuania, 2- of Russia, 2 - of Belarus, 2 - of Kirgizstan, 1 - of Latvia and 1 - of Uzbekistan.
