Events at the state border and within the country - December 21, 2019

On Saturday the 21st of December, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 43 offenders at external borders and within the country.

15 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Uzbekistan entered Latvia by truck with trailer, who presented forged German Vehicle Insurance Policies, was detected. The forged documents were seized.

At the Terehova Border Control Point 3 citizens of Russia and 1 - of Uzbekistan were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Georgia were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

At the Zilupe and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 3 citizens of Ukraine and 1 - of Kazakhstan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 3 citizens of Lithuania, 1 - of Russia and 1 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 23 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 10 citizens of Latvia, 4 - of Belarus, 3 - of Estonia, 2 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Finland, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Uzbekistan and 1 - of Moldova.
