On Sunday the 22nd of December, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 43 offenders at external borders and within the country.
15 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 foreigner with forged documents was detectedAt the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of the Ukraine leaving Latvia by car, who presented forged Ukraine Driving Licence, was detected. Criminal proceedings were initiated for the use of forged documents. Within the framework of the criminal proceedings the forged document was seized. The man was placed in the State Police short-term detention facilities.
2 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Terehova Border Control Point 2 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 3 foreignersAt the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Uzbekistan, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 3 citizens of Lithuania and 1 - of Estonia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 10 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Belarus, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Uzbekistan, 1 - of USA and 1 - of Turkmenistan.
