On Sunday the 23rd of December, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 36 offenders at external borders and within the country.

16 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Georgia with forged documents was detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Georgia, leaving Latvia, with forged Latvian citizen's passport was detained. The man, born in 1973, was handed over to the State Police officers.

1 foreigner was refused entry into Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The person was returned to the exit country.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 7 foreigners

At the Grebņeva and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia, 1 - of Canada, 1 - of Azerbaijan, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of China and 2 - of Georgia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the citizen of Azerbaijan and 1citizen of Georgia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 persons - 2 citizens of Estonia and 1 - of Lithuania.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 17 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Belarus, 4 - of Russia, 2 - of Estonia, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of German, 1 - of Kazakhstan, 1 - of USA and 1 - of Ukraine.
