Events at the state border and within the country - December 25, 2018

On Tuesday the 25th of December, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 18 offenders at external borders and within the country.

7 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The person was returned to the exit country.

At the Zilupe and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Uzbekistan and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Russia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 citizens of Lithuania.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 7 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of Uzbekistan, 1 - of German, 1 - of Russia and 1 - of Tajikistan.
