On Friday the 28th of December, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 59 offenders at external borders and within the country.

43 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

4 citizens foreigners with forged documents were detected

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Georgia and 2 - of Ukraine with a forged border crossing stamping in their passports, as well as 1 Uzbek citizen, who used a forged Schengen (Greece) residence permit sticker, were detected. Criminal proceedings were initiated for the use of forged documents. The persons were placed in the State Police Short Term Detention Facility.

1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, entered from Berlin, who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1996, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

3 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 3 citizens of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The persons were returned to the exit country.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 13 foreigners

At the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 4 citizens of Ukraine, 2 - of Russia, 5 - of Uzbekistan, 1 - of Tajikistan and 1 - of Jordan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the citizen of Ukraine was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia (woman), who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 2 citizens of Lithuania and 2 - of Ukraine.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 12 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Russia, 4 - of Belarus, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Ukraine.
