Events at the state border and within the country - December 28, 2019

On Saturday the 28th of December, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 27 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. The person was returned to the exit country.

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Uzbekistan and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Ukraine was not commenced, the citizen of Uzbekistan was subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 3 citizens of Uzbekistan, 2 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 11 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Latvia, 2 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Russia, 3 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Sweden and 1 - of Serbia.
