On Sunday the 29th of December, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 20 offenders at external borders and within the country.
10 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 foreigner with forged documents was detectedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine with forged Czech passport and ID card was detected. Criminal procedure was initiated for the use of forged documents. The person was placed in a temporary place of detention of the State Police.
1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detainedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia entered Latvia from Leeds, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1995, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
1 foreigner was refused entry into LatviaAt the Grebņeva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The person was returned to the exit country.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 1 foreignerAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit), was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 1 citizen of Lithuania.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 9 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of German, 1 - of Tajikistan, 1 - of Latvia and 1 - of Lithuania.
