Events at the state border and within the country - December 30, 2018

On Sunday the 30th of December, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 30 offenders at external borders and within the country.

15 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

At the Zilupe Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The person was returned to the exit country.

At the Silene and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Azerbaijan and 3 - of Georgia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 3 citizens of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Russia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 10 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of German and 1 - of Serbia.
