On Monday the 30th of December, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 31 offenders at external borders and within the country.

15 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

6 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Vientuļi and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of India were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; 1 citizen of Georgia and 1 - of Malaysia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; as well as 1 citizen of Ukraine (woman) was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. While at the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova (woman) was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid travel document.
The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 4 foreigners

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 3 citizens of Uzbekistan and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 2 citizens of Lithuania, 1 - of Russia and 1 - of Ukraine.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 12 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Russia, 3 - of Belarus, 2 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Latvia and 1 - of Iran.
