On Monday the 31st of December, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 31 offenders at external borders and within the country.

20 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

2 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and he was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; as well as 1 citizen of Ukraine (woman) was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 7 foreigners

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 5 citizens of Uzbekistan, 1 - of Russia and 1 - of India, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The record-keeping regarding administrative violations, committed by 4 citizens of Uzbekistan and 1 citizen of India was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 citizens of Lithuania.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 7 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Greek, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of Latvia.
