On Friday the 1st of February, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 24 offenders at external borders and within the country.
15 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
2 citizens of Latvia, who are on the police wanted list, were detainedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Latvia entered Latvia from East Midlands and from Dublin, who are on the police wanted list, were detected. The men, born in 1996 and 1973, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
3 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; as well as 2 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the countryAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 1 citizen of Estonia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 8 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Lithuania, 2 - of Latvia, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Russia and 1 - of Uzbekistan.
