On Friday the 2nd of February, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 26 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the Terehova and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 1 citizen of Tajikistan and 1 citizen of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visas or residence permits. The persons were returned to the countries of exit.At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Uzbekistan and 1 citizen of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visas or residence permits, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The record-keeping regarding administrative violations, committed by the citizen of Uzbekistan was not commenced, the citizen of Ukraine was subject to administrative liability.At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 Latvian citizens, who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The person was refused exit from Latvia.While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 3 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Estonia and 1 - of Lithuania.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 7 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Belarus.
