Events at the state border and within the country - February 03, 2020

On Monday the 3rd of February, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 25 offenders at external borders and within the country.

16 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 foreigner with documents of another person was detected

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia entered Latvia with an Identity Card of another Belgian citizen, was detected. The detected document was seized. The person was subject of administrative liability and was returned to the exit country.

2 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Uzbekistan and 1 - of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit country.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 3 foreigners

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of Uzbekistan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 9 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Latvia, 3 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Serbia, 1 - of Great Britain and 1 - of Estonia.
