On Sunday the 4th of February, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 37 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, entered from Doncaster and who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1983, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 4 citizens of Ukraine and 3 citizens of Moldova were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The persons were returned to the countries of exit.At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), was detected. The record-keeping regarding administrative violations, committed by the citizen of Russia was not commenced.While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 3 citizens of Estonia and 2 - of Lithuania.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 12 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Estonia, 2 - of Latvia, 2 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Germany, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Belarus
