On Thursday the 7th of February, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 47 offenders at external borders and within the country.

30 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Ukraine with forged documents was detected

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine with a forged driving license, was detected. Criminal proceedings were initiated for the use of forged documents. Within the framework of the criminal proceedings the driving license was seized.

6 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Silene, the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Belarus, 3 of Ukraine and 1 - of Columbia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; as well as 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 6 foreigners

At the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Ukraine, 1 - of Belarus and 4 - of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 persons - 2 citizens of Russia and 1 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 14 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Belarus, 3 - of Estonia, 2 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Latvia and 1 - of Serbia.
