On Thursday the 8th of February, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 28 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, but at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 6 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country. The persons were returned to the countries of exit.At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Kirgistan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (absence of valid visa or residence permit), was detected. Person was subjected to administrative liability.While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 persons - 2 citizens of Estonia and 1 - of Lithuania.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 11 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Latvia, 2 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Greece, 1 - of Poland and 1 - of Belarus.
