On Saturday the 9th of February, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 40 offenders at external borders and within the country.
25 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detainedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia entered Latvia from London, who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The woman, born in 1997, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
17 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid travel document. While at the "Riga" Airport and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 4 citizens of Georgia and 11 - of Ukraine were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; as well as 1 citizen of Georgia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine and 1 - of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
2 citizens of Latvia were refused exit from the countryAt the Silene and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Latvia, who were not in possession of valid travel document, were detected. The persons were refused exit from the country.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 2 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Azerbaijan, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Lithuania.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 10 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Russia, 3 - of Belarus, 2 - of Latvia and 2 - of Ukraine.
