On Sunday the 9th of February, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 47 offenders at external borders and within the country.
32 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 foreigner with forged documents was detectedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia, leaving Latvia with forged Schengen border stamp in his passport, was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.
2 citizens of Latvia, who are on the police wanted list, were detainedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point and the Port of Ventspils 2 citizens of Latvia- 1 - entered Latvia from Doncaster and 1- from Sweden, who are on the Police wanted list, were detected. The men, born in 1994 and 1982, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
At the Terehova, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; 4 citizens of Moldova and 3 - of Ukraine were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area and 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has already resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 1 foreignerAt the Grebņeva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit), was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.
3 citizens of Latvia were refused exit from the countryAt the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 3 minor citizens of Latvia, who were not in possession of the second parent's agreement for children independent travelling outside Latvia, were detected. The persons were refused exit from the country.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 2 citizens of Lithuania and 2 - of Ukraine.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 11 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Belarus, 3 - of Russia, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Kazakhstan and 1 - of Estonia.
