Events at the state border and within the country - February 10, 2019

On Sunday the 10th of February, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 34 offenders at external borders and within the country.

16 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 foreigner was refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Nigeria was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid travel document. The person was returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 1 foreigner

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), was detected. The persons was subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 2 persons - 1 citizen of Lithuania and 1 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 16 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Belarus, 4 - of Latvia, 2 - of Russia, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Moldova and 1 - of Estonia.
