On Monday the 11th of February, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 33 offenders at external borders and within the country.
19 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
19 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaWhile at the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport and Border Control Points 9 citizens of Ukraine and 5 - of Georgia were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; as well as 2 citizens of Ukraine (females) were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners have resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period; as well as 3 citizens of Georgia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners have a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries
At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Tajikistan and 2 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Ukraine was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.
1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the countryAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 minor citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of notarially certified agreement of at least one parent for his independent travelling outside Latvia, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 3 citizens of Russia and 1 - of Lithuania.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 9 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Lithuania, 2 - of Russia, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of Estonia.
