On Tuesday the 12th of February, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 35 offenders at external borders and within the country.
21 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
8 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Terehova, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport and Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; 4 citizens of Ukraine and 1 - of Georgia were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; as well as 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreignersAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
1 non-citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the countryAt the Terehova Border Control Point 1 non-citizen of Latvia (female), whose passport was not valid for travel outside Latvia, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 3 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Estonia and 1 - of Azerbaijan.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 8 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Latvia and 1 - of Uzbekistan.
