Events at the state border and within the country - February 14, 2020

On Friday the 14th of February, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 42 offenders at external borders and within the country.

25 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

At the Grebņeva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Kirgizstan, leaving Latvia by truck with trailer, with forged Bulgarian Vehicle Insurance Policies, was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.

At the Terehova and the Silene Border Control Points 1 citizen of Tajikistan and 1 - of Belarus were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and she was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

At the Silene, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Ukraine and 1 - of Kazakhstan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 3 citizens of Estonia, 1 - of India, 1 - of Russia and 1 - of Azerbaijan.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 11 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Latvia, 2 - of Ukraine, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Uzbekistan.
