On Tuesday the 19th of February, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 40 offenders at external borders and within the country.

17 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

8 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the "Riga" Airport and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 2 citizens of Ukraine and 3 - of Georgia were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; as well as 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. At the Riga Commercial Port Border Control Point 1 citizen of Salvador (seaman), who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. Regarding the seaman, a statement has been taken from the captain of the ship that the foreigner will not land on the shore while the ship is standing in the Latvian Port, the other persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners

At the Terehova and the Silene Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of Kirgizstan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid travel document, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 9 persons - 3 citizens of Estonia, 2 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Armenia, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Poland and 1 - of Russia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 14 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Belarus, 3 - of Russia, 2 - of Latvia, 2 - of Kazakhstan, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Kirgizstan and 1 - of Estonia.
