On Wednesday the 19th of February, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 36 offenders at external borders and within the country.
17 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
8 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 5 citizens of Ukraine and 2 - of Uzbekistan were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. While at the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 3 foreignersAt the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Georgia, 1 - of China and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay of a visa-free regime), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the citizen of China was not commenced, the other person were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 8 persons - 2 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Belarus, 1 - of Azerbaijan, 1 - of Finland, and 1 - of Lithuania.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 11 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Russia, 3 - of Lithuania, 3 - of Belarus, 1 - of German and 1 - Great Britain.
