On Thursday the 21st of February, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 38 offenders at external borders and within the country.

29 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

14 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 9 citizens of Ukraine and 1 - of Moldova were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period; as well as 2 citizens of Moldova and 1 - of Ukraine were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners have a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 2 citizens of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 persons - 1 citizen of Ukraine, 1 - of Latvia and 1 - of Russia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 6 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Estonia, 1 - of Tajikistan, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Poland and 1 - of Ukraine.
