Events at the state border and within the country - February 22, 2019

On Friday the 22th of February, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 29 offenders at external borders and within the country.

13 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The person was returned to the exit country.

At the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Ukraine and 2 - of Georgia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 4 citizens of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Latvia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 10 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Latvia, 3 - of Estonia, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Kazakhstan.
