Events at the state border and within the country - February 22, 2020

On Saturday the 22nd of February, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 25 offenders at external borders and within the country.

6 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The person was returned to the exit country.

At the Terehova, the Silene and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of Kazakhstan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the citizen of Russia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 2 citizens of Lithuania, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Georgia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 14 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Latvia, 2 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Italy, 2 - of Russia, 2 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of Moldova.
