On Sunday the 23rd of February, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 23 offenders at external borders and within the country.
12 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
4 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Uzbekistan were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country. While at the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreignersAt the Grebņeva and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of Belarus, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
1 citizen of Great Britain was refused exit from the countryAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Great Britain (female), who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 11 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of Latvia, 2 - of Russia, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Kirgizstan and 1 - of Tajikistan.
