On Sunday the 24th of February, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 24 offenders at external borders and within the country.

12 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Egypt with forged documents was detained

At the Riga Passenger Port, carrying out profiling of passengers entered Latvia from Stockholm, 1 citizen of Egypt with forged Lithuanian ID Card was detected. Criminal proceedings were initiated for use of forged documents. The man was placed in the State Police Short Term Detention Facility.

3 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Silene and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 1 citizen of Belarus, 1 - of Russia and 1 - of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia (female), who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 1 citizen of Belarus, 1 - of Moldova, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Ukraine.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 8 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Belarus, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Kazakhstan, 1 - of Poland and 1 - of Estonia.
