On Sunday the 25th of February, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 41 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 7 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the countries of exit.At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ghana (woman), who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), was detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Ghana was not commenced.While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 12 persons - 9 citizens of Lithuania, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Estonia and 1 stateless person of Lithuania.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 14 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Russia, 4 - of Latvia, 3 - of Belarus, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Poland.
