On Wednesday the 26th of February, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 28 offenders at external borders and within the country.
21 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
2 foreigners with forged documents were detectedAt the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Kazakhstan, entered Latvia by truck with trailer, with forged German International Vehicle Insurance Policies was detected. The forged document was seized. At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine entered the country with forged Schengen border stamp in her passport was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.
5 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the "Riga" Airport and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 3 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. While at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 2 citizens of Russia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 5 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizen of Belarus, 2 - of Latvia and 1 - of Russia.
