On Friday the 28th of Fabruary, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 38 offenders at external borders and within the country.
21 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
2 foreigners with forged documents were detectedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia (woman) and 1 citizen of Georgia, both leaving Latvia with forged Schengen border stamp in their passports, were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detainedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia entered from Dublin, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The woman, born in 1956, was detained and handed over to the State Police Officers.
1 foreigner was refused entry into LatviaAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The person was returned to the exit country.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 5 foreignersAt the Terehova, the Zilupe, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 4 citizens of Russia and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 persons - 2 citizens of Russia and 1 - of Lithuania.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 14 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Latvia, 3 - of Russia, 2 - of Ukraine, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Moldova and 1 - of Tajikistan.
