On Monday the 8th of February, 2021 the State Border Guard's officials detected 40 offenders at external borders and within the country.
8 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
- Entry into Latvia was denied to 3 foreigners
At the Grebneva and Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus and 1 – of Russia were refused entry to Latvia, as the foreigners did not possess valid visa or residential permit, while in Riga harbor entry to Latvia was denied to 1 Russian citizen (sailor), as the foreigner had interdiction to enter and reside in the territory of Schengen states. In regards to the sailor the affirmation from the ship captain was received, that the man, during the ship's stay in Riga harbor, will not leave the vessel. Other persons were returned to the country of exit.
- Conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area was violated by 2 foreigners
At Terehova and Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia and 1 – of Belarus, who have violated conditions of residence of the Schengen area (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa) were detected. Persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 27 persons – 8 citizens of Poland, 5 – of Romania, 5 – of Lithuania, 3 – of Latvia, 2 – of Kosovo, 2 – of Ukrain, 1 – of Russia and 1 – of Moldov.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 5 persons were subjected to administrative liability or was refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard – 3 citizens of Belarus, 1 – of Latvia and 1 – of Kyrgizstan.
