On Friday the 4th of January, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 29 offenders at external borders and within the country.

13 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

3 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia (female) was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; while at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 2 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners

At the Grebbņeva and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Kazakhstan and 1 - of Georgia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 2 citizens of Lithuania.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 14 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 9 citizens of Russia, 3 - of Latvia and 2 - of Estonia.
