Events at the state border and within the country - January 06, 2019

On Sunday the 6th of January, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 25 offenders at external borders and within the country.

7 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

4 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova, the Silene and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Moldova, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 3 foreigners

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Georgia and 1 - of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 citizens of Lithuania.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 12 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of Russia, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Tajikistan, 1 - Switzerland, 1 - of Moldova, 1 - of Poland and 1 - of Lithuania.
