On Wednesday the 9th of January, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 23 offenders at external borders and within the country.
14 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
7 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Kazakhstan was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, and 6 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreignersAt the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Georgia and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the countryAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 Latvian citizen, who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 2 persons - 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of India.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 7 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Kirgizstan.
