On Friday the 10th of January, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 30 offenders at external borders and within the country.

15 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 foreigner with forged documents was detected

While carrying out profiling of passengers at the Riga Passenger Port 1 citizen of Latvia, entered the country from Sweden with forged Lithuanian driving licence, was detected. Criminal proceedings were initiated for the use of forged documents. The forged document was seized.

1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia entered Latvia from Istanbul, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1981, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

5 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 1 citizen of Kazakhstan, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Belarus were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. At the Zilupe Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as he has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. While at the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 4 foreigners

At the Zilupe and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia, 1 - of India, 1 - of Uzbekistan and 1 - of Georgia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of India was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 10 persons - 5 citizens of Lithuania, 1 - of India, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of USA, 1 - of Latvia and 1 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 5 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 1 citizen of Poland, 1 - of Belarus, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of Ukraine.
