On Friday the 11th of January, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 29 offenders at external borders and within the country.

11 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Ukraine with forged documents was detected

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine with a forged border crossing stamping in his passport, was detected. Criminal proceedings were initiated in accordance with Article 275(1) of the Criminal Law. The man was placed in the State Police Short Term Detention Facility.

2 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 2 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit country.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of Georgia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the citizen of Russia was not commenced, the citizen of Georgia was subject to administrative liability.

1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia (woman), who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 9 persons - 8 citizens of Lithuania and 1 - of Poland.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 9 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of Russia, 2 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Latvia and 1 - of Estonia.
