Events at the state border and within the country - January 12, 2018

On Friday the 12th of January, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 32 offenders at external borders and within the country.

12 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Uzbekistan was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country. The person was returned to the exit country.At the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Moldova, 1 citizen of Russia and 1 citizen of Georgia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the citizen of Russia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 9 persons - 3 citizens of Estonia, 2 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Belarus, 1 - of Georgia and 1 - of German.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 11 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of Latvia, 2 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Russia and 1 - of Uzbekistan.
