Events at the state border and within the country - January 12, 2020

On Sunday the 12th of January, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 24 offenders at external borders and within the country.

17 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 foreigner with forged documents was detected

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Mongolia (woman), entered the country with forged German residence permit, was detected. The person was subject to the administrative liability and was returned to the exit country.

2 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 2 citizens of Uzbekistan were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The persons were returned to the exit country.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 4 foreigners

At the Terehova, the Grebņeva, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia and 2 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Russia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 7 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Serbia and 1 - of Lithuania.
