Events at the state border and within the country - January 13, 2018

On Saturday the 13th of January, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 35 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 4 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country. The persons were returned to the exit countries.At the Terehova and the Zilupe Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 2 citizens of Estonia, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Russia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 16 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 7 citizens of Russia, 4 - of Latvia, 2 - of Ukraine, 2 - of Belarus and 1 - of Estonia.
