On Sunday the 13th of January, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 25 offenders at external borders and within the country.
14 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 citizen of Russia with forged documents was detectedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia with a forged border crossing stamping in her passport, was detected. Criminal proceedings were initiated in accordance with Article 275(1) of the Criminal Law. The woman was placed in the State Police Short Term Detention Facility.
1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detainedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, entered from Manchester, who is on the police wanted list was detected. The woman, born in 1994, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
2 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Pāternieki Border Control Point 2 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit country.
1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the countryAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 minor citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of notarially certified agreement of at least one parent for her independent travelling outside Latvia, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 persons - 2 citizens of Estonia and 1 - of Lithuania.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 8 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Lithuania, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Russia and 1 - of Sweden.
